A 21-year-old Jarrettsville man was killed early yesterday when a pickup truck in which he was a passenger ran off Rocks Road in Harford County, struck a stone barrier and flipped onto its roof, state police reported.

The driver -- identified by police as Sean M. Jackman, 19, of the 8000 block of Lakewood Road in Carney -- was taken by MedEvac helicopter to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he was listed in serious condition last night.

Killed in the crash was Richard S. Andrews of the 1200 block of Baldwin Mill Road.

Police said the southbound truck ran off Rocks Road -- Route 24 -- north of Forest Hill about 1: 30 a.m., and slid on its roof after the impact.
