Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Shooting: A 16-year-old West Baltimore boy who was shot in the arm Tuesday afternoon in the 1700 block of W. Lexington St. was not the gunman's target, police said. A man standing outside a house across the street shot the boy, who was sitting with at least one other youth on the steps of a rowhouse. Police said the gunman's target -- who was one of those on the steps -- fled and was being sought. The shooting grew out of an earlier dispute. A man who later came out of the same house across the street was arrested by members of the Quick Response Team and questioned Tuesday night at police headquarters and released, pending charges.

Eastern District

Shooting: An unidentified man was shot in the forearm in a house in the 900 block of N. Washington St. about 8: 55 p.m. yesterday and was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment..

Northwestern District

Shooting: A man was shot about 8: 30 p.m. yesterdayin the 5000 block of Palmer Ave. and police were seeking three male occupants of a white van. The victim was treated at Sinai Hospital.

Southern District

Stolen vehicle: A 1988 Ford Ranger with tags 33H 732 was stolen Monday in the 500 block of Baltic Ave.

Northern District

Burglary: An undisclosed sum of money and an assortment of candy were stolen Tuesday from Sav-A-Lot Drugs in the 2000 block of Maryland Ave.

Burglary: More than two dozen compact discs valued at nearly $400 were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 2900 block of N. Charles St. The thief entered through a basement window.

Robbery: Three men, one with a handgun, robbed the Royal Farm store in the first block of E. 33rd St. of an undisclosed sum of money about 6: 35 p.m. Tuesday.

Baltimore County

Wilkens Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 79, was in the 1000 block of Maiden Choice Lane near the Kendale Avenue apartments about 1 p.m. Tuesday when a man armed with a sawed-off shotgun hidden under his jacket robbed her of her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $200. Police said the gunman drove off in a gold-colored car with another man.

Burglary: Luggage and silverware, all valued at nearly $800, were stolen from an apartment in the first block of Melvin Ave. between Aug. 6 and Tuesday. The thief entered through a bedroom after removing an air conditioner.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 1300 block of Birch Ave. Tuesday through a rear screen door and stole a power saw valued at more than $100.

White Marsh Precinct

Theft: Police were seeking a man who entered Ritz Camera at Golden Ring Mall about 4 p.m. Tuesday and stole an MX-700-model digital camera valued at more than $500.

Theft from vehicle: Tools and two stereo speakers, all valued at more than $400, were stolen from a 1987 Pontiac Trans Am parked Monday in the 8200 block of Philadelphia Road.

Stolen vehicle: A 1992 Dodge Caravan with tags 507912M was stolen Monday in the 500 block of Dale Ave.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Between Aug. 9 and Aug 17, someone broke into a storeroom at Goucher College in the 1000 block of Dulaney Valley Road. It was not immediately known if any property was stolen.

Burglary: Someone stole prescription medication, a stereo amplifier and a toothbrush from a house in the 500 block of Virginia Ave. over the weekend. Police said the ex-boyfriend of the occupant was being sought in the burglary.

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: Two men, one who implied he was armed with a handgun, entered the 7-Eleven store in the 9100 block of Liberty Road about 1 a.m. Tuesday and ordered a clerk onto the floor. The men fled moments later with an undisclosed sum of money from Maryland Lottery receipts.
