Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northeastern District

Shooting: A gunman fired several shots at two men shooting dice in the 2600 block of Cecil Ave. about 11: 35 p.m. Saturday, but missed them and hit a woman, 64, who was sitting in her home across the street. Police said the woman was shot in the leg and treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Shooting: A man, 20, was in the 5800 block of White Ave. about 1 a.m. Sunday when two men, one with a handgun, demanded his money. Instead of complying, the victim chased the pair. During the chase, the gunman turned and shot the victim in the neck and the pair escaped. The victim was in stable condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday.

Southeastern District

Shooting: A man, 20, sitting in his car in the 1400 block of Rayleigh Way in O'Donnell Heights about 5: 30 a.m. Sunday was apparently accidentally shot in the right leg by a gunman who was chasing another man. The man being chased was shot in the left wrist. No arrest had been made and both wounded men were treated at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Stabbing: A man was stabbed in the left side of the head with a knife during a fight with another man outside a bar in the 3700 block of Hudson St. about 2 a.m. Sunday. A suspect was being sought. The wounded man, 43, was in stable condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Eastern District

Stolen car: After picking up a hitchhiker Sunday night, a motorist stopped in the 1600 block of N. Milton Ave. and entered a store while leaving the engine of his car running. When he left the store a few minutes later, the hitchhiker had driven off with his red four-door 1998 Geo with tags FMG 575.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man, 36, of a gold chain valued at $600 in the 1300 block of N. Chester St. about 4 p.m. Sunday.

Southwestern District

Theft from vehicle: A set of heavy-duty chains and the power pump for a snowplow, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen Saturday from a tow truck in the 2100 block of Hollins Ferry Road.

Robbery: A woman, 52, was walking in the 2400 block of Frederick Ave. about 6 p.m. Sunday when a female driver of a white 1990 Dodge Caravan with handicap tags 17095 stopped, got out of the vehicle, knocked her to the ground and stole her purse containing cash and property, all of unknown value.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Several collectible bears and $30 were stolen Sunday from a house in the 4200 block of Soth Ave. in Perry Hall.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: A burglar entered a garage in the 200 block of Murdock Road on Saturday night and did not take anything but left a white Sasquatch-style bicycle.

Burglary: Saturday afternoon, someone entered a shed in the back of a house in the 200 block of Murdock Road while the occupant was in front of the house and stole a Mongoose-brand bicycle valued at $300.

Robbery: After a man requested cigarettes at the Royal Farms store in the 1500 block of E. Joppa Road about 7: 15 p.m. Sunday, he implied he was armed with a handgun and forced a clerk to give him an undisclosed sum of money.
