County planners to discuss proposed zoning rules

The Department of Planning and Code Enforcement will brief the public on proposed zoning rules for mixed-use development at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Glen Burnie High School and Aug. 25 at Annapolis High School.

Planners also will review a draft of the county's industrial and commercial zoning codes at those meetings. Planners released the draft legislation to members of the county's 12 Small Area Planning Committee in a special briefing last week. The draft could go to the County Council next month.

Reference copies of the draft legislation are available in all county libraries and in the planning department's third floor reception area at 2664 Riva Road, Heritage Center. Information: 410-222-7437.
