Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Purse snatch/arrest: A woman, 63, was in the first block of S. Washington St. about 1 p.m. Friday when a man approached her from behind and stole her purse, which contained a small amount of money. The woman chased the man until he ran down an alley. When police arrived, witnesses told them the man went into a house in the 200 block of N. Castle St. Police entered the house and found the man hiding under a bed. Clyde Hester, 34, of the Castle Street address, was charged with unarmed robbery. The purse was recovered.

Eastern District

Robbery/arrest: A man, 54, was in his car at a gas station in the 1900 block of Belair Road about 3: 45 a.m. Friday when two men, one of whom implied he was armed with a handgun, robbed him of his wallet, which contained credit cards, cash and personal papers. The victim's girlfriend, who was not in the car, saw the robbery and called police. Officers pursued two men on foot to the 1800 block of N. Gay St., where one was arrested and the other escaped. Marquis Collins, 19, of the 1800 block of N. Chapel St. was charged with robbery and was processed at the Central Booking and Intake Center.

Robberies: About 1 a.m. Friday, a man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed Dunkin' Donuts in the 4000 block of Pulaski Highway of about $100. The man had a large scar on his face and wore dreadlocks. At 3: 20 a.m. Saturday, the man and a male accomplice robbed the store again and escaped with about $100.

Northern District

Burglary: Stereo equipment, 500 compact discs and two gift certificates valued at nearly $8,100 were stolen between June 20 and August 6 from a house in the 1100 block of Gleneagle Road.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Bank robbery: After giving a teller a note demanding only $100 bills, a gunman robbed Eastern Savings Bank in the 7900 block of Belair Road of an undisclosed amount of money about 11: 13 a.m. Saturday. As the robber was going to a tan and silver Nissan or Toyota that was parked outside and occupied by a second man, a dye pack placed among the money exploded. The two escaped. It was not disclosed whether any money was recovered.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: After ordering a soft-drink at Wendy's restaurant in the 1600 block of E. Joppa Road about 8: 50 p.m. Friday, a man pulled a handgun, produced a note demanding money and fled with less than $200.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a rear storeroom of Boston Market Inc., a restaurant in the 2000 block of York Road, Friday night and stole kitchen equipment, silverware and other food preparation items valued at nearly $700.
