Angels: Gary DiSarcina went 0-for-3 last night and remained hitless in his past 21 at-bats.

Indians: Manny Ramirez leads the majors with 108 RBIs but had none in the three-game series against the Red Sox. He sat out yesterday. Kenny Lofton missed his seventh consecutive game with a sore right hamstring.

Rangers: When Jeff Zimmerman improved to 9-0 on Monday night, the team said he matched the league record for overall wins at the start of a career. However, further research by the Elias Sports Bureau showed the record is 11, set in 1913 by Joe Boehling of the Washington Senators. Boehling had nine wins as a starter, two as a reliever.
