'Faith' or 'Falling'

Tomorrow marks the opening of a pair of Baltimore Playwrights Festival offerings by a pair of veteran festival playwrights.

Carol Weinberg's "Keeping the Faith" dramatizes the relationship between a Jewish Big Brother and a biracial teen. Bob Bardorff directs a cast headed by Rodney Bonds at the Spotlighters Theatre.

Mark Scharf's "Falling Grace" focuses on a woman who survives a sky dive after her parachute fails to open. Deborah Elizabeth Striegler stars in this Directors Choice production, staged by Maria Lakkala.

Show times for "Keeping the Faith" at the Spotlighters, 817 St. Paul St., are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, through Aug. 28. Tickets are $10. Call 410-752-1225.
