Gladys Whittle Jones, 93, sales manager, homemaker

Gladys W. Jones, a sales manager and homemaker, died July 27 of heart failure at Roland Park Place. She was 93.

She was national sales manager for Beauty Counselors of Grosse Point, Mich., from 1945 until 1965, when the company was sold.

The former Gladys Whittle was born in Towson and earned a bachelor's degree from Goucher College in 1926.

In 1932, she married Julian Stuart Jones Jr., a General Motors Corp. executive at Chevrolet's Broening Highway plant. The couple lived in Roland Park and Ocean City, where Mrs. Jones was a president of the Dunes Club.

Mr. Jones died in 1980.

The memorial service will be private.

She is survived by a son, Julian Stuart Jones III of Silver Spring; a daughter, Courtney Hopkins Jones McKeldin of Roland Park; and three grandchildren.
