Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Central District

Stolen police car: A silver-colored 1993 Dodge with tags ALH 140 and assigned to the Police Department's Internal Investigations Division was stolen between 4: 10 p.m. and 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of S. Penn St.

Theft: Two men who helped a woman move into a house Wednesday in the 700 block of Lennox St. stole three gold rings and two gold chains, all valued at more than $1,000.

Burglary: Tools and a radio, all valued at nearly $1,800, were stolen between Sunday and Wednesday from an apartment house being renovated in the first block of S. Eutaw St.

Theft: A vinyl carrying bag, containing 45 shares of IBM stock and 45 shares of Microsoft stock, was stolen Wednesday when it was left unattended at Barnes & Noble Bookstore in the 600 block of E. Pratt St.

Burglary: Stereo equipment, laptop computer and a videocassette recorder, all valued at more than $2,100, were stolen Wednesday from a third-floor apartment in the 1700 block of Eutaw Place.

Theft: A laptop computer and a cellular phone, all valued at more than $2,000, were stolen Wednesday from a 1995 GMC truck parked in the first block of S. Eutaw St.

Southern District

Burglary: A ceiling fan and tools, all valued at more than $1,200, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 2000 block of Wilkens Ave.

Eastern District

Stolen vehicle: A 1990 Ford pickup truck with tags FP 5300 was stolen Wednesday from the parking of the CVS Pharmacy in the 2000 block of Harford Road. The truck is owned by a Baltimore City watershed police officer, and it contained the officer's off-duty Glock 26 semiautomatic handgun and four 9 mm caliber clips.

Eastern District

Shooting: A boy, 16, was with several other youths in the 900 block of N. Castle St. about 10: 30 p.m. Tuesday when someone fired at least nine shots into the group, striking the youth twice in the back. Two cars and the windows of at least one house also were struck by bullets. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital. No arrest had been made and police knew of no motive.

Burglary: Appliances and tools, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen Wednesday from Roman Heating & Air Conditioning in the 1700 block of Llewelyn Ave.

Burglary: A coin-operated poker machine and household items, all valued at $5,000, were stolen between Saturday and Wednesday from Rainbow Hair Cuttery in the 1800 block of E. Chase St.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Cash, cigarettes and state lottery tickets, all valued at $2,000, were stolen Wednesday from Security Liquors in the 1700 block of Woodlawn Drive.

Burglary: Several carpets and a carpet binder, all of unknown value, were stolen Wednesday from S & S Carpets in the 6400 block of Baltimore National Pike.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: An undisclosed sum of money was removed from the safe at Wendy's restaurant in the 3000 block of E. Joppa Road between 4: 20 a.m. and 9: 45 a.m. Wednesday.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A woman was getting out of a car about 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 6600 block of Ellsmere Place when a gunman robbed her of her purse containing cash and property, all of unknown value.
