Jailed man charged with additional thefts

A Westminster man, who had been held at the county jail since Friday for failing to appear in court last week on drug and theft charges, was charged in two additional theft cases yesterday, court records show.

Michael C. Latini, 20, has four theft and drug cases pending between Aug. 11 and Nov. 24, as well as a case in September on a charge of possession of alcohol by a minor and one in October on uttering charges, according to District Court records.

He was arrested Friday after failing to appear in court the day before on those charges, records show.

The latest charges stem from the theft of a bicycle Wednesdayfrom a relative living in the 2000 block of Don Ave. in Westminster, records show; he is also accused of stealing a violin, a saxophone and 60 compact discs in June from another relative at the same address.

Bond was set at $5,000 in each of the most recent cases, pending today's review in District Court.
