Parole nightclub has liquor board hearing delayed

July 27, 1999|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

A county Liquor Board hearing for Club Hollywood, a Parole nightclub that has drawn police attention several times in the past few years, has been postponed to Aug. 10.

Today's scheduled hearing was delayed at the request of the nightclub's attorney, liquor board officials said.

The hearing stems from a fight in the club's parking lot April 19. Four women complained that they were flashed by four men who beat on their car, according to a police report.

In January and February 1998, county police conducted a series of raids on the club, making numerous arrests for underage drinking and public drinking on the parking lot.

Police said a fight at the club in April was the motive for the fatal shooting of a Severn man at his girlfriend's home in Annapolis.

Earlier this month, an Annapolis man was fatally shot in the club parking lot after his 25th birthday celebration.
