Marlins: Utility player Dave Berg, who usually fills in at second, shortstop and third base, received his first major-league start in the outfield due to injuries to Preston Wilson (back spasms) and Bruce Aven (strained hamstring).

Mets: The three-game series drew 147,809. The Yankees drew 64,518 for a three-game series with Cleveland, making the weekend total in New York 310,327.

Reds: Cincinnati has 43 homers in its past 27 games at San Francisco. Cincinnati is 4-3 in extra innings.

Rockies: Colorado drew 48,845 and became the first NL team this year to reach the two million mark in attendance this year.
