Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Ellicott City-Elkridge

Ellicott City: Someone drove a truck through the front of a gas station in the 10100 block of Baltimore National Pike on Sunday, chained an automatic teller machine to the vehicle and drove out of the station. A suspect was stopped afterward with an ATM in a truck. Antoinette Sweeney was charged with breaking and entering, police said.

Ellicott City: An intruder broke into a residence in the 4800 block of S. Haven Drive on Friday and stole a television, scanner, videocassette recorder and computer equipment.

Ellicott City: An intruder broke into a swimming pool office in the 9200 block of Marydell Road on Saturday or Sunday, stole keys, $50 from a metal box and $100 from a freezer.

East Columbia

Long Reach: Between 15 and 20 people attacked three men walking near the 5700 block of Yellowrose Court yesterday and stole $200 and a pair of shoes from one of the men.

Long Reach: An intruder entered a business in the 8200 block of Tamar Drive on Friday and stole about $200 worth of ice cream.

Owen Brown: Someone broke a store window in the 9200 block of Berger Road on July 12 or 13, pried open a cash register and desk drawer and stole $150.

North Laurel-Savage

Savage: An intruder broke into a shed in the 10100 block of Washington Blvd. between Saturday and Monday and stole tools valued at several thousand dollars.
