State police investigate death of boy found in pool

FINKSBURG -- State police continued yesterday to investigate the death of a 2-year-old Carroll County boy who was found Saturday in his family's indoor swimming pool.

Alexander Nash Brosey of the 2800 block of Constellation Way was discovered about 4: 30 p.m. by a family member who was on the second floor of the house when the boy apparently fell in the water, police said. The boy was pronounced dead at Carroll County General Hospital.

The state medical examiner's office is performing an autopsy.

In Prince George's

Police say man killed in crash might have run traffic light

FORESTVILLE -- A Charles County man was killed yesterday when he apparently ran a red light in his 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee at a Prince George's County intersection and was struck by another vehicle, state police said.

Christopher M. Groves, 27, of the first block of Hampton Court in Bryans Road was driving east on Suitland Parkway at Maryland Route 4 about 1 a.m. when his sport utility vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Joseph Rogers Williams, 41, of the 10200 block of Duke of Wellington Court in Upper Marlboro, police said. Williams, who was uninjured, was driving south on Route 4.

Police said no charges have been filed.
