Bradley Sparks joins Digex as chief financial officer

Digex Inc. hired Bradley E. Sparks as chief financial officer of the Beltsville provider of Internet services to businesses and organizations. Sparks formerly was executive vice president and chief financial officer for WAM!NET, a provider of digital networking services. He holds a master's degree from the Sloan School at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the United States Military Academy.

Peter Horst senior VP at Phillips Publishing

Phillips Publishing Inc. selected Peter D. Horst for the newly created post of senior vice president of Internet development. He will develop and lead the Potomac firm's Internet companies. A former marketing vice president with Ameritrade Holding Corp., the Washington resident is an MBA graduate of Dartmouth College.

Grasmick names Leubecker chief financial officer

Louis J. Grasmick Lumber Co., a supplier of industrial lumber, appointed Ronald C. Leubecker as chief financial officer. A Towson University graduate, he is a CPA and previously was a manager with Weyerich, Cronin & Sorra. He lives in Bel Air.

Stambaugh personnel chief at Bank of Glen Burnie

Bank of Glen Burnie appointed Michelle Stambaugh as director of human resources. She will be responsible for all aspects of the financial institution's personnel administration, including benefits, employee relations, training and evaluations. Formerly with United Linen of Forrestville, she is a resident of Arnold.

James E. Goodrich joins Saul, Ewing, Weinberg

Saul, Ewing, Weinberg & Green admitted James E. Goodrich to the litigation department of the regional firm's Baltimore office. He will focus on business litigation, trademark and trade secret disputes and unfair competition cases. A University of Virginia law graduate and former senior associate of Cleveland-based Goodman Weiss Miller, he is also a veteran of the Peace Corps.


Kann names Johnson architectural designer

Kann & Associates named Christopher L. Johnson as an architectural designer for the Baltimore-based architectural firm. He will specialize in food store and retail projects. A graduate of Temple University, his prior experience was in urban restoration and renovation.
