Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Shooting/arrest: During an angry exchange of words between two males in the 700 block of Eaton St. about 7: 50 p.m. Wednesday, one was shot in the neck with a .22-caliber handgun. A 20-year-old resident of Foster Avenue was released after treatment at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Detective Robert Winder said Leonard Cutlip, 17, of the 2700 block of Jefferson St. was arrested late Wednesday at his home and charged as an adult with attempted murder. Winder said the gun was not recovered.

Northwestern District

Shootings: A man, 22, and a boy, 15, were in the 5600 block of Haddon Ave. about 11: 45 p.m. Wednesday when a gunman shot the man in the right hand and right elbow and the youth in the right leg. Both were treated at Sinai Hospital. No arrest had been made and police knew of no motive.

Central District

Robbery/arrest: A male, 18, was in the 300 block of N. Eutaw St. about 3: 30 p.m. Wednesday when a teen-age boy used a knife to stab him in the left leg and robbed him of jewelry valued at $400. A short time later, police arrested a 15-year-old Dundalk youth and charged him as a juvenile.

Theft from vehicles: Someone entered two vehicles parked in the first block of W. Mulberry St. on Wednesday and stole property valued at more than $2,000.

Southern District

Burglary: A generator valued at $400 was stolen from a storage shed in the 1500 block of Light St. on Wednesday.

Southwestern District

Burglary: Police were seeking a former employee in a burglary Wednesday of American Baptist Churches of the South at the United Methodist Building in the 5100 block of Greenwich Ave., where someone stole a television, computer equipment, frozen meat and a stereo receiver, all valued at more than $4,000. Police said the suspect was fired recently.

Northern District

Theft from truck: A cellular phone, cordless drill and electric saw, all valued at $400, were stolen from a truck parked in the 200 block of E. 32nd St. on Wednesday.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered Cigarette Depot in the 4300 block of Ebenezer Road on Wednesday after breaking the front door and stole 20 cartons of cigarettes.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: Jewelry, a compact disc player and a gold watch, all valued at $700, were stolen from a house in the 400 block of Beck St. by someone who entered through a window Wednesday.

For the record

Murder victim identified: Police have identified a man who was fatally shot in the 3500 block of W. Belvedere Ave. on July 3 as James Edward Townes, 39, of the 200 block of Young Court in East Baltimore. Detective Kirk Hastings said Townes' slaying was the result of a dispute with another man and that no arrest had been made.
