July 15, 1999|By J. Wynn Rousuck

As its 25th anniversary production, the Howard County Summer Theatre is re-mounting "Hello, Dolly!", a show the theater first produced in 1987. Conni Ross stars as Dolly Gallagher Levi in this Jerry Herman-Michael Stewart musical adaptation of Thornton Wilder's "The Matchmaker." The cast of more than 80 will be directed by Tom Sankey, who also staged the theater's previous production of "Dolly."

Proceeds after expenses will benefit the Listening Place, Child Advocacy Center, a Howard County facility that works with victims of child abuse. The Howard County Summer Theatre has donated $17,500 to county nonprofit organizations over the past five years.

"Hello, Dolly!" will be performed at Centennial High School, 3825 Centennial Lane, Ellicott City. Show times are 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday and July 22, 23 and 24, and 2:30 p.m. July 18. Tickets are $8. Call 410-418-8940.
