Blues Festival

For blues, brews and barbecues, attend the blues festival today at Bally's at Ocean Downs in Berlin. The line-up at the daylong festival includes Anson Funderburgh and the Rockets, Walter "Wolfman" Washington and the Roadmasters, Smokin' Joe Kubek with Bnois King, the Nighthawks and Mary Lou and the Untouchables. While listening to blues sounds, enjoy tasty barbecue fare served up by grill masters from Maryland, Delaware and Virginia. Coolers are not permitted.

The festival site is on Route 50, 4 miles west of Ocean City. Gates open at noon; music starts at 1 p.m. Tickets are $20. Call 410-481-SEAT.

Country jamboree

Listen to the best in country music today through Sunday at Jamboree in the Hills in St. Clairsville, Ohio, west of Wheeling, W.Va. The line-up for the "Super Bowl of Country Music" includes such superstars as Reba McEntire, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Terri Clark, Charlie Daniels, Dixie Chicks, Clay Walker, Jo Dee Messina, Lonestar, Marty Stuart, Sammy Kershaw and the Clark Family Experience. There's also a classic car show.

The festival site, which features a mobile post office, bank machines, a network of phone lines and a tent city, is on U.S. 40, 2 miles off Interstate 70 and 15 miles west of Wheeling, W.Va.
