Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Theft/arrest: A man who stole six lawn chairs Sunday from the back yard of a house in the 2600 block of Fleet St. was chased and captured by area residents, who held him until the police arrived. The chairs were recovered.

Burglary/arrest: A man was breaking into a house Sunday in the 1100 block of E. Baltimore St. when the female occupant armed herself with a shotgun and ordered the man out. The woman left the house and flagged down Officer Adam Kirhagis, who arrested the man.

Eastern District

Robbery: A woman, 27, was robbed of $3,000 when two men knocked her to the floor of a stairwell at the Super 8 Motel in the 3600 block of Pulaski Highway about 4 p.m. Sunday.

Central District

Theft: A portable television, leather bag and $25, all valued at more than $300, were stolen Sunday from a 1998 Dodge van parked in the 100 block of S. President St.

Theft: Gold jewelry, a Louisiana State University ring, a watch, clothing and a purse containing cash, all valued at more than $2,500, were stolen Sunday from a 1993 Honda parked in a garage in the 100 block of S. Gay St.

Burglary: A compact disc player, clock radio, 12 compact discs, 18 cassette tapes and a gold ring, all valued at nearly $500, were stolen Sunday from a house in the 1700 block of Park Ave. by someone who entered through a door.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man, 29, of his wallet and $80 in the 1400 block of Shields Place about 7 p.m. Sunday.

Theft: A 35 mm camera and a radar detector, all valued at $800, were stolen Sunday from a 1993 Buick Regal parked in the first block of W. Read St.

Theft: Someone entered a 1984 Pontiac parked in the 600 block of W. Franklin St. on Sunday and stole a wheelchair valued at more than $1,300.

Robbery: After a woman cashed a check for $180 and was walking in the 1000 block of Tyson St. about 9 a.m. Sunday, she was robbed by a man who pressed a handgun to her head.

Southern District

Theft: An electric generator valued at $1,500 was stolen Sunday in the 3900 block of Fort Armistead Road.

Theft: A radar detector, cellular telephone and 103 compact discs, all valued at nearly $1,800, were stolen Sunday from a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer parked in the 400 block of Camden St.

Southwestern District

Robbery: A woman and her boyfriend were in the 2300 block of Ashton St. about 9: 30 p.m. Sunday when a man asked the woman for a light. Before the woman could comply, the man ripped a diamond necklace, valued at $400, from the woman's neck and fled.

Robbery: A female, 17, was in the 300 block of S. Catherine St. about 1 a.m. Sunday when her former boyfriend robbed her of a pager.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Arrests: Eight men, four of them foreign or out-of-state students, were arrested about midnight Saturday at the Town & Country Apartments swimming pool at Society Park Drive and Cranbrook Road and charged with trespassing and damaging a building.

Burglary: A television, videocassette recorder and computer equipment, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen from O'Conor, Piper & Flynn Realtors in the first block of E. Padonia Road overnight Saturday.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a garage Sunday in the 4700 block of Vicky Road and stole an empty quarter-keg and two coolers.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: A man, 32, was at McClean Boulevard and Perring Parkway about 2: 50 a.m. Sunday when a gunman riding a bicycle stopped and robbed him of a cellular telephone.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 100 block of Regester Ave. between July 3 and Saturday and ate food, watched television, smoked cigarettes and stole three blank checks.
