Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northeastern District

Shooting: A male, 16, was shot in the left leg yesterday by a man he was talking to in the 1200 block of Exeter Hall Ave. Police said the victim was in good condition at Union Memorial Hospital. They ruled out attempted robbery as a motive.

Central District

Robbery: A man struck a woman, 22, in the face about 2: 20 p.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of Druid Hill Ave. and stole a pair of tennis shoes, valued at $69, that she was carrying.

Robbery: A man assaulted a woman in the first block of E. North Ave. about 12: 30 p.m. Tuesday and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $50.

Burglary: The front door of World Alliance Christian Fellowship Church in the 300 block of Cathedral St. was removed overnight Tuesday. The door was valued at $700.

Southern District

Cutting: Police were seeking a woman known as "Bo Bo" who cut a man with a box knife during an incident Tuesday night in the 2000 block of Wilkens Ave. The man suffered a 4-inch long laceration of the left arm and was treated at University of Maryland Medical Center.

Burglary: Jewelry, fishing gear and lawn-care equipment, all valued at more than $2,600, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 2500 block of Banger St.

Burglary: Video games and video accessories, all valued at $1,000, were stolen from a house in the 2500 block of Arbutus Ave. overnight June 27. The burglary was reported Tuesday.

Northern District

Burglary: A gold Marine Corps ring valued at nearly $600 was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 200 block of E. 35th St.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 100 block of Woodlawn Road through a door Tuesday and stole more than $300.

Burglary: More than $1,000 was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1100 block of Hollen Road.

Southwestern District

Theft/arrest: A woman was arrested Tuesday when she tried to leave the Super Fresh supermarket in the 2400 block of Frederick Ave. without paying for baby-care products and headache medicine, all valued at more than $55.

Burglary: Three bicycles valued at more than $2,000 were stolen yesterday from a house in the 900 block of Wilmington Ave.

Eastern District

Robbery/arrest: A gunman robbed a man, 52, of a ring valued at $200 about 5: 25 p.m. Tuesday in the 2400 block of E. Biddle St. Minutes later, police arrested a suspect and seized a starter pistol from him. It was not known if the ring was recovered.

Theft: A man entered New Life Evangelical Baptist Church in the 2400 block of E. North Ave. Tuesday afternoon and stole an electric drill and nine straw hats, all valued at more than $140.

Burglary: Two TVs were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1800 block of N. Washington St.

Baltimore County

North Point Precinct

Robbery: Two men robbed Sharkey's Liquors in the 2000 block of Dundalk Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money about 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed Overlea Liquors, 6700 Belair Road, of an undisclosed sum of money and a 9 mm handgun about 9 p.m. Tuesday. As the gunman fled, he and a store employee exchanged gunfire. Neither man was injured, and the gunman escaped.

Robbery suspect sought: City police have issued a warrant charging Herbert Garland Uzzell, 39, of the 100 block of S. Exeter St. with the June 21 armed robbery of a Checker cabdriver in the 1900 block of Aiken St. in Northeast Baltimore. Police said Uzzell is known to frequent the Harford Road corridor and is suspected of robbing several other cabbies in Northeast Baltimore in recent weeks.
