Red Sox: Troy O'Leary went 0-for-3, ending his 13-game hitting streak. The string ended one game short of matching his career high set last season.

Tigers: The infield at Tiger Stadium had a new look as about five feet of sod was removed to extend the base paths toward left and right. The areas are intended as spots for umpires to stand.

Yankees: Bernie Williams extended his hitting streak to 17 games, a high for New York this season.
