Authorities are trying to determine the cause of a blaze that destroyed a vacant three-story house in Manchester after midnight yesterday.

The fire in the 3800 block of Maple Grove Road was discovered by a neighbor at 12: 37 a.m.

State fire marshals said yesterday that the blaze started in a first-floor office area of the house, which was more than 100 years old.

About 50 firefighters from seven stations in Carroll, Baltimore and York (Pa.) counties brought the blaze under control within 30 minutes.

No one was injured and damage was estimated at $100,000, fire marshals said.
