Baltimore City

Northwestern District

Shooting: Dontae Morris, 20, of the 3600 block of Lucille Ave. was leaving a relative's house in the 3200 block of Wolcott Ave. about 1: 15 a.m. yesterday when a gunman got out of a red station wagon parked nearby and shot him in the leg. The gunman got back in the car and sped off. Morris was treated at Sinai Hospital.

Eastern District

Robbery: A man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed a 74-year-old man of more than $70 about 5 p.m. Tuesday in the 2400 block of E. Monument St.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a female, 17, of a gold bracelet valued at $80 about 3 a.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of Cokesbury Ave.

Southern District

Burglary: Two men broke into a house in the 2200 block of Round Road on Tuesday and stole a 60-inch television, valued at $4,000; a videocassette recorder, valued at $200; and jewelry, valued at $400.

Southwestern District

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a man, 43, of two gold chains and $10 about 6: 40 p.m. Tuesday in the 1700 block of W. North Ave.

Robbery: Two males -- one about 17 and the other about 11 -- robbed a man, 26, of $50 and his 26-inch bicycle, valued at $150, about 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 2600 block of St. Benedict St.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Carjacking/arrest: A motorist, 18, was seated in her 1990 Dodge Spirit outside the Home Depot store in the 1900 block of E. Joppa Road about 2: 30 p.m. Monday when a man, who implied he was armed, forced her from the car and drove away. Minutes later, another woman entered the store and tried to get a refund on items that store employees suspected were stolen. An employee had seen the woman talking to the carjacker. After police learned the woman's address, robbery detectives went to the 1700 block of N. Collington Ave. in East Baltimore, where they saw the stolen Dodge. When a man left a nearby house and entered the car, he was arrested. John Roger Morris, 28, of the 1400 block of Kent Road in Essex was charged with armed carjacking. Theft charges against the woman were pending.

Arrest: City police arrested Hassan Muhammed, 16, of the 6000 block of Moravia Park Drive on Tuesday on a warrant charging him as an adult with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Jeffrey Randall. Randall, 36, of the 4400 block of Belle Ave. was shot May 23, 1997, during a robbery in the 1200 block of Greenmount Ave. Detective Al Marcus said Muhammed, who was 14 at the time of the shooting, was in possession of 20 vials of suspected heroin and two handguns when he was arrested in the 1900 block of Aisquith St. Muhammed was being held without bail at the city jail.
