Meet Brett Hull

Brett Hull of the Dallas

Stars has one of the the NHL's hardest shots. He averaged 52 goals per season for the St. Louis Blues from 1988 to 1998. Brett's dad, Bobby, scored 610 goals during his NHL career (1957-80).

Brett is looking to follow in his father's footsteps. "Brett makes the smart play," says Mike Modano. "We're excited to be playing together."

GOOD SPORTS; JAMILA WIDEMAN

Point guard Jamila Wideman of the Los Angeles Sparks guides her team's offense on the basketball court. Off court, she guides young women, with a program called "Hoopin' with Jamila" to help girls from the Los Angeles area who are at risk of getting into trouble. They attend Sparks' home games and talk with Jamila.
