"My favorite book is 'Morris Goes To School' by Bernard Wiseman because it is exciting. It teaches people how to count money. It is about school. One more thing, this is a wonderful book because the characters are funny."

" 'My Side of the Mountain' by Jean Craighead George is a great story about how to survive in the wilderness. A boy ran away from home and travels through the high mountains. He needs to find things that will make a good home in the mountains."

"I read a book called 'Henry Huggins' by Beverly Cleary. This book is about an 8-year-old boy named Henry. One day Henry was walking home from school and something changes his life. A very skinny dog wanted some of his ice cream cone and the dog wanted to follow him home. Henry named the dog Ribsy. One day Henry decides to enter Ribsy in a dog show and they win a big silver cup. At the end, a boy comes by and says he saw Henry and Ribsy in the newspaper. It turns out Ribsy was the other boy's dog. So they had a contest and the winner got to keep Ribsy. I love this book and I hope you will, too."
