Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Central District

Shooting: An off-duty Baltimore Fire Department medic was using an outside pay telephone in the 5900 block of Erdman Ave. about 2: 30 a.m. Saturday when a gunman approached and shot him in the left shoulder. Aaron Caudill, 36, was in good condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. A motive for the shooting was not known and the incident was being investigated. No arrest had been made.

Southwestern District

Shooting: Donald White, 19, was shot in the back about 5: 40 a.m. yesterday during an apparent attempted robbery in the 1900 block of Hollins St. The gunman escaped. White, of the 4400 block of Franconia Drive, was in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Southern District

Burglary/arrest: A man, 28, was arrested Saturday after he broke down the front door of a house in the 300 block of S. Payson St. and tried to enter the home. The door was valued at $300, and no property was reported stolen.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Two computers, a printer, two monitors and three laptop computers, all valued at more than $10,000, were stolen Saturday from an office in a building in the 1400 block of York Road.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Someone broke into the snack stand at Milford Mill Swim Club in the 3900 block of Milford Mill Road overnight Friday. The thief cut a screen and removed a quantity of ice cream products of unknown value from a freezer.

Stolen car: A 1992 Dodge Dynasty with Georgia tags 712 3YL was stolen June 12 in the first block of Straw Hat Road in Owings Mills. The theft was reported Saturday.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Computer equipment valued at $400 was stolen Saturday from a house in the first block of Bright Circle. The thief entered through a side window.

Burglary/arrest: A man, 25, was arrested Saturday and charged with burglary after he kicked in the front door of a neighbor's house in the 1000 block of St. Agnes Lane during an argument over his stolen dog. Five friends of the arrested man congregated outside the house during the incident but were not arrested. It was not known who, if anyone, stole the dog.

Theft: A fax machine and other office equipment, all valued at $400, were stolen Saturday from an office in a professional building in the 6600 block of Security Blvd.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered Wicks N Sticks, a store in White Marsh Mall, through a rear door overnight Saturday, destroyed a cash register and stole an undisclosed sum of money. Also in the mall at the same time, someone tried to enter the Burger King restaurant through a door but failed to gain entry.

Stolen car/arrest: A silver-colored 1999 Dodge Neon was stolen about 3 a.m. yesterday in the first block of Dutrow Court. A short time later, police saw the car on nearby Pinewall Place and arrested the 20-year-old female driver, who was charged with auto theft.
