Delmarva Chicken Festival

More than 10,000 pieces of chicken will be fried in a 650-pound frying pan tomorrow and Saturday at the 51st Delmarva Chicken Festival in Crisfield. In addition to tons of chicken and other food, the annual festival features recipe information, musical entertainment, arts and crafts, antique car show, games, carnival rides, educational displays, home and trade show and children's activities.

The festival is held at the Somers Cove Marina and Woodrow Wilson Community Center. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. Call 302-856-9037 or 410-968-2705.

National Motocross Championship

Riders will reach speeds of 60 mph and jump to heights of four stories this weekend at the 10th Annual National Motocross Championship at Budds Creek Motocross Park in Budds Creek. The world's best will roar over a terrain of packed dirt, hills and natural valleys. Fans can check out the track by walking through underground tunnels. You can also cheer on amateur riders of all skill levels tomorrow and Saturday before pro qualifying rounds.

Budds Creek Motocross Park is off Route 234 near Leonardtown. Pro qualifying rounds start at 4 p.m. Saturday; pro practice is 9 a.m. Sunday; pro qualifying, 10:30 a.m. Sunday; and pro finals, 1 p.m. Sunday. Tickets for Sunday are $20, $10 ages 6-12; a weekend pass is $35, $20 ages 6-12. Call 301-475-2000.
