Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Theft: A woman who tried to steal $45 worth of pain medication Sunday from Santoni's supermarket in the 3800 block of E. Lombard St. was charged with theft in a criminal citation and ordered to appear in court.

Southern District

Robbery: A woman, 34, was in the 300 block of Penn St. about 5: 30 p.m. Monday when a man riding a bicycle stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $300.

Eastern District

Robbery: A girl, 12, was in the 1000 block of Hillman St. about 3 p.m. Monday when a gunman threatened to shoot her and robbed her of her bicycle.

Robbery: A man, 77, was driving an unlicensed cab on Ensor Street about 5 p.m. Monday when he was stopped by a man who asked to be driven to the 1700 block of Spring St. There, the passenger pulled a handgun, struck the driver in the face with the weapon and robbed him of $15. The victim was treated at Church Hospital for minor head injuries.

Northern District

Burglary: A 9 mm Beretta handgun, compact disc player and computer equipment were stolen Monday from a house in the 100 block of W. 27th St.

Burglary: At least $3,000 was stolen Monday from a safe in an office trailer at the Baltimore Zoo.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct:

Burglary: Police were seeking a man who broke into Overlea Liquors in the 6700 block of Belair Road about 4 a.m. Monday and stole 14 cartons of cigarettes. A witness told police that the man got into a Chevrolet station wagon and drove off. At Hamilton Avenue and Belair Road in Baltimore, police saw the car on a lot and recovered the cigarettes. The car had been reported stolen Sunday on Darley Avenue in East Baltimore.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Two compact discs and candy were stolen between Friday and Monday from Deer Park Elementary School in the 9800 block of Lyons Mill Road.

For the Record

Arrest: Donnell Cross, 21, of the 100 block of N. Milton Ave. was arrested yesterday in the 3300 block of Elmley Ave. by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder in the death of Carlton Finch, 24, of the 1800 block of Eagle St. Finch was shot April 30 in the 100 block of S. Monroe St. Cross was being held at the Central Booking and Intake Center. Police said they knew of no motive for the slaying.
