Hit-and-run victim's body found along Eastern Boulevard in Essex

An unidentified young man whose body was found lying by the side of a busy road in Essex early yesterday was a hit-and-run victim, Baltimore County police said.

The body was found about 1 a.m. along the eastbound lanes of Eastern Boulevard near Wilson Point Road, police said.

Police described the victim as a white male between 20 and 25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

They said he had extensive burn scars on his left leg and buttocks, wore dark blue sweat clothes and white Nike tennis shoes, and had a tattoo on his left forearm that said, "Larry N Sarah" with a heart circling the "N".

A witness' account of the incident led police to a possible suspect vehicle, which was towed to police headquarters in Towson for processing and which police declined to describe.

No arrests had been made, said Cpl. Richard Whitby of the county police communications unit.
