Drug charges filed against 5 after raid in Westminster

A Westminster man accused of possession of suspected cocaine and maintaining a common nuisance at his apartment was ordered held yesterday on $5,000 bail. He was arrested along with a Hampstead woman, a Baltimore resident and two Baltimore County residents during a raid of his residence Saturday, police said.

The others were also arrested on drug offenses and released Sunday on personal recognizance, court records show.

The apartment's tenant, Steven J. Bynion, 28, of the 100 block of W. Main St. was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show.

Also arrested were Carrie A. Wein, 19, of the 4300 block of White Oak Court in Hampstead; Sherron L. Holmes, 20, of the 3000 block of Oak Hill Ave. in Fullerton; Shayne R. Thomas, 21, of the first block of Primrose Court in Carney; and Tanydra T. Waters, 19, of the 2600 block of Quantico Ave. in Baltimore's Park Heights area.

Wein was charged with possession of suspected heroin, possession of suspected cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Holmes, Thomas and Waters were charged with possession of suspected cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
