Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Carjacking/robbery: When a woman stopped for a red light about 1: 15 p.m. Wednesday in the 2300 block of E. North Ave., two men, one with a handgun, entered her 1988 Dodge Omni, robbed her of more than $300 and ordered her to drive to several locations in the city. At each stop, one man got out, entered a building and reportedly purchased drugs with the victim's money. At Central Avenue and Fayette Street, the men got out of the car and fled.

Burglary: Someone entered Klean's grocery in the 1200 block of E. North Ave. through a window Wednesday and stole $50 and 25 cartons of cigarettes, all valued at more than $500.

Southern District

Shooting/arrest: A woman has been charged with shooting her live-in boyfriend during an argument about 7 p.m. Wednesday at their place of employment, Dan's Tire Shop in the 300 block of S. Carey St. Detective Anthony Vaeth said Albert Simpkins, 41, of the 500 block of N. Monroe St. was shot in the stomach at close range with a 12-gauge shotgun and was in fair condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Vaeth said Deborah Lynn Love, 37, was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault and a deadly weapon count. Love was being held without bail at the Central Booking and Intake Center, pending a bail review hearing.

Robbery: Two teen-age males were in the 1300 block of Ward St. about 10: 40 p.m. Wednesday when a gunman robbed one of them of his athletic shoes, gold chain and car keys, all valued at more than $300. The second youth, who was struck with the weapon, was robbed of his keys.

Burglary: Cigarettes and liquor valued at more than $2,000 were stolen Wednesday from M & E Liquors in the 1900 block of W. Lombard St.

Central District

Stabbing: A man asked another man, 23, for a cigarette about 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of W. Baltimore St. then stabbed him in the left side when the victim answered with a racial slur. The armed man escaped, and the victim was treated at Harbor Hospital Center.

Southeastern District

Burglary/arrest: A teen-age male was arrested and charged with entering a house in the 600 block of S. Bradford St. on Wednesday and stealing jewelry.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Robbery try: A gunman attempted to rob the Super Subs 2 shop in the 4900 block of Hazelwood Ave. about 10: 30 p.m. Wednesday, but fled after an employee ran out the back door.

North Point Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 9300 block of Todd Ave. in Fort Howard through a rear door Wednesday and stole a sleeping bag, lantern, food, compact discs, a television and a cooler, all valued at more than $460.

Towson Precinct

Arson: Someone set two fires Wednesday night in the laundry room of an apartment building in the 7900 block of Knollwood Road, damaging the wall, floor and a trash can. No injuries were reported among the tenants.
