Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northern District

Theft: While the operator of a tow truck was preparing to tow a car in the 5900 block of York Road on Tuesday, someone entered the truck's cab and stole a cellular phone and pager, all valued at more than $200.

Robbery: A man, 40, was robbed of $42 by a gunman in the 2800 block of Oakford Ave. about 10: 30 p.m. Tuesday.

Southeastern District

Theft: A seven-shot, silver-colored .22-caliber handgun and an undisclosed sum of money were stolen Monday from a house in the 6500 block of Parnell Ave.

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, forced a man, 37, into an alley in the 400 block of W. Saratoga St. near the Lexington Market loading dock about 4 p.m. Tuesday and robbed him of $38, a diamond ring valued at $900 and an 18-inch gold chain valued at $250.

Theft: A man reached over a counter at Phillip's Harborplace restaurant in the 300 block of Light St. and removed $100 from a cash register Monday.

Theft: Someone removed $600 from a safe at Subway sandwich shop in the Light Street pavilion at Harborplace on Sunday or Monday.

Southern District

Burglary: Jewelry, cash and video games, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1300 block of Towson St.

Burglary: Stereo equipment, two videocassette recorders and other property, all valued at $5,000, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 900 block of Honaker Court.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Murder try/arrest: A man, 18, of the 500 block of Shamrock Lane, was charged Tuesday with the attempted murder of another man with whom he had a dispute over money. When the victim, 22, was about to drive from the suspect's house about 3 p.m., a man arrived in his car and fired a shotgun at him. The uninjured man drove off and reported the incident to a police officer he flagged down. A short time later, police entered the house and arrested Shawn Davis and charged him with attempted first-degree murder and a handgun violation. A shotgun was recovered. Davis was being held at the county Detention Center.

North Point Precinct

Robbery: A woman armed with a semiautomatic handgun robbed Cigarette Depot in the 3200 block of North Point Road of more than $100 about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Burglary: A television, microwave oven and videocassette recorder, all valued at nearly $4,000, were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 2900 block of Cornwall Road.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: A car stereo, equalizer, video games and a telephone were stolen Tuesday from a storage locker in the basement of an apartment building in the 1000 block of Halstead Road.
