Kevin Deanstadt scored three goals, and three teammates scored twice each as Annapolis Area Christian School won its second straight Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association C Conference title yesterday.

The Eagles defeated Glenelg Country School, 9-2, at Johns Hopkins' Homewood Field, with Dustin Coombe, John Rosacker and Alex Bitzer each scoring twice. Deanstadt also had two assists with his hat trick.

The victory was the 15-2 Eagles' eighth straight under coach Dick Bitzer, who said the school plans to move into the more competitive MIAA B Conference next season.

"That's what we want, because winning by 19 goals and having to stop shooting -- that's not how we want to play," said Bitzer.

Glenelg Country's goals were scored by Jon Bullock and Elliott Hoke, and Dragons goalie Andrew Garthoff made 15 saves.

The Eagles were able to control the game in front of goalie Aaron Hendricks, who made eight saves. They led 3-0 after one period, 4-1 at halftime, and out-scored the Dragons 5-1 in the second half.
