Har Sinai Congregation names Pa. woman cantor

Har Sinai Congregation, the nation's oldest continuous Reform congregation, has appointed Nancy R. Ginsberg as its cantor.

Ginsberg, a 1987 graduate of the Hebrew Union College School of Sacred Music, comes to Baltimore from Temple Sinai in Summit, N.J., where she has served as cantor and music director since 1995. She was previously cantor and music director for seven years at the Main Line Reform Temple in Wynnewood, Pa.

Ginsberg succeeds Cantor Rhoda Silverman, who is taking time off from congregational work while she raises her family. Ginsberg starts July 1.
