New positions

e.spire appoints Inglert VP for human resources

e.spire Communications Inc. appointed Jerry Inglert vice president of human resources. He will oversee human resources management, recruitment and succession, compensation, benefits and employee relations for the integrated communications solutions firm based in Annapolis Junction.

Inglert formerly was a vice president of New Vision, in Reston, Va.

Ragland is general manager for Harbor Duvall Graphics

Harbor Duvall Graphics named Pamela Ragland general manager. She is responsible for budget preparation and management, staffing, production, sales and customer service.

The Randallstown resident attended the University of Baltimore and was controller for Source Inc. before joining the Baltimore printing house.

Banking and finance

Floyd, Maykrantz, Owens join 1st Mariner Mortgage

1st Mariner Mortgage Corp. appointed Joyce J. Floyd and Charles R. Maykrantz III as senior loan officers and Vanessa L. Owens as a loan officer.

Floyd, a Linthicum resident, attended the University of Augsburg (Germany) and formerly was with Georgia-based Suntrust Bank. She is active in several professional and civic organizations, including Financial Women of America and the Pilot Club of Maryland.

Maykrantz, a graduate of the University of Baltimore, formerly was with First National Mortgage Co. The Baltimore resident is a member of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors.

Owens, who will specialize in first-time buyer financing, lives in Odenton and formerly was a retail manager with Edwards & Benjamin Financial.

Health care

Uveges is vice president of finance for Spectera

Spectera Inc. named James M. Uveges vice president of finance. He is responsible for the firm's accounting and human resources departments. A University of Maryland graduate, the Reisterstown resident was senior vice president and chief financial officer for Susquehanna Bank before joining the Woodlawn-based national employee health benefits company.

He is active with the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, United Way of Central Maryland and is a member of the Financial Executives Institute.

Commercial real estate

Richard Fields is broker with Manekin LLC

Manekin LLC hired Richard Fields as a broker with the Columbia-based commercial real estate management, development and construction firm.

Formerly with Casey & Associates, the Ellicott City resident is a graduate of Widener University and is a member of the Columbia Town Center Rotary and the Howard County Business Club.
