Calvert Hall's Reggie Bryant, an All-Metro basketball player who averaged 23.2 points a game last winter, accepted yesterday a full basketball scholarship to American University in Washington, D.C., his coach, Mark Amatucci, said.

Known for his relentless, slashing play in the paint, Bryant, a 6-foot-3 swingman, was the Catholic League's Player of the Year and an All-State player.

Bryant also averaged 4.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists in leading the 13th-ranked Cardinals to an 18-12 record.
