Astros: Since he was called up from the minors, Paul Bako has hit safely in all five games he's played and is batting .444 (8-for-18). Right-hander Jeff McCurry allowed two runs while retiring just one batter in his season debut for a 54.00 ERA.

Brewers: Jeff Abbott mad his first relief appearance since being bumped from the rotation by Hideo Nomo.

Reds: Eddie Taubensee was called out on fan interference on his pop to the left of the foul screen in the fourth. A fan reached up and lost his Reds cap over the railing as Dave Nilsson came over but couldn't make the catch.
