William S. Burroughs

Under the pseudonym William Lee, Burroughs wrote "Junkie: Confessions of an Unredeemed Drug Addict." Under the same name he wrote "Queer," which evolved from Burroughs' accidental shooting of his wife.

"Cities of the Red Night," "The Place of the Dead Roads" and "The Western Lands" all treat one of Burrough's favorite themes: time travel.

Burroughs also wrote "The Naked Lunch," a compilation of satirical writings. The residual writings from it produced "The Soft Machine," "The Ticket that Exploded" and "Nova Express."
