Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northeastern District

Carjacking: Police were seeking a gunman who stole a 1996 Mercury van with tags M201222 from the 1400 block of Havenwood Road on Sunday while a female motorist was removing articles from the vehicle.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man, 41, of cash and property, all valued at more than $250, about midnight Sunday in the 1200 block of E. Cold Spring Lane.

Southern District

Burglary: Property valued at $2,000 was stolen Monday from a house in the 1100 block of Wicomico St. The thief entered through the front door.

Burglary: A power washer valued at $3,000 was stolen Monday from a building in the 1400 block of Bush St.

Eastern District

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man of $80 about 8 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of E. Preston St.

Southwestern District

Stolen car: A 1987 Ford Taurus with tags FXD 589 was stolen Monday in the 600 block of Denison St.

Burglary: A cellular phone, pager and television, all valued at nearly $300, were stolen Monday from a house in the 5300 block of Lantern Court Road.

Northern District

Burglary: A video camera, several compact discs and tools, all valued at nearly $3,000, were stolen Monday from a house in the 2600 block of Guilford Ave.

Burglary: Stereo equipment, a cassette player and an amplifier, all valued at $1,000, were stolen Monday from a house in the 3100 block of Independence Ave.

Stolen car: A 1992 Honda with tags ZHN 206 was stolen Monday in the 5500 block of South Bend Road.

Baltimore County

North Point Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed Cigarette Depot in the 3200 block of North Point Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 3 p.m. yesterday .

Cockeysville Precinct

Theft/arrest: An unidentified man was arrested yesterday at home after he tried to sell stolen golf clubs to Play It Again Sports in the 10000 block of York Road. The clubs had been stolen a short time earlier from Hunt Valley Golf Club in the 14100 block of Phoenix Road. Play It Again Sports employees became suspicious when they saw a name on the clubs that differed from the suspect's.

White Marsh Precinct

Vandalism: Police were seeking a man who used his car to damage the front gate of county property in the 4400 block of Bucks School House Road on Monday, causing about $100 damage. The incident was recorded on a surveillance camera.

Robbery: A man, 33, was using a pay phone in the 8600 block of Philadelphia Road about 3 p.m. Monday when a man asked him for directions. Before the victim could reply, the man pulled a handgun and robbed him of more than $300.

Wilkens Precinct

Robbery: An apparently unarmed man robbed a man, 43, of more than $200 about 8: 35 p.m. Monday outside the victim's home in the 400 block of Maple Forest Road.

Essex Precinct

Rape try: A man struck a woman, 36, in the head, choked her and tried to rape her about 11 p.m. Sunday at Rickenbacker Road near Old Eastern Avenue. She scratched him around his eyes, and he fled. She was not seriously injured.

Burglary: Three televisions, computer equipment, cash and stereo equipment were stolen Monday from an apartment in the 600 block of Lanoitan Road.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered Mark Associates in the 7400 block of York Road overnight Thursday and stole a combination compact disc player/radio and 10 rolls of postage stamps. The burglary was reported Monday.
