1998 Chaddsford Spring Wine ($9).
Wine purists, be warned. This is not for you. This refreshing, charming Pennsylvania white wine is strictly for fun. It's a blend of four grape varietals (riesling, seyval blanc, vidal and vignoles) that yield a wine that is slightly sweet, but not so sugary it can't be served with a meal. The fresh, uncomplicated flavors of honey, apple and peach make it an ideal picnic wine. For novices, it's an ideal bridge between soda pop and more serious dry wines.
