College student breaks leg in fall from window

May 02, 1999

A 21-year-old Towson University student fell from a fifth-floor window yesterday, suffering a broken leg, school officials said.

The student was sitting on a window ledge at the rear of his Towson Run Apartments unit around 7: 15 p.m. when he fell into a grassy area, said Susanna Craine, a school spokeswoman.

Craine said a roommate told her that the student liked to sit in the window and climb the ledge. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital.
