Twins update Twins statistics

Thanks to Kansas City's success in Baltimore, Minnesota (9-13) arrives here in last place in the AL Central. The Twins had won two straight before losing to Boston on Wednesday, 9-4. They were 1-4 at Camden Yards last season, and 3-7 against the Orioles overall. First baseman Ron Coomer is 11-for-23 in his last six games. Catcher Terry Steinbach has hit safely in 12 of 15 games. Minnesota pitchers have seven quality starts, compared to five by the Orioles. Ponson was 2-0 with a 2.03 ERA against the Twins last season. The Twins can't be any happier to see Mussina, who's 12-2 with a 2.76 ERA and two shutouts in 15 career starts against them. This series represents a homecoming for Milton, who pitched at the University of Maryland.
