School looking for corporate partners

April 30, 1999|By Donna Abel | Donna Abel,SPECIAL TO THE SUN

MOUNT AIRY Elementary's PTA is pleased to announce Monica Severy as its corporate sponsor coordinator. Severy will be contacting local businesses for support and donations for the school.

This is the perfect time for all of us as parents to reflect on ways to help join the business community and our children's schools. The PTA asks that you please take the time to talk to your employer regarding forming a partnership with the elementary school.

The school needs not just money, but digital televisions, computers, used office equipment, painting supplies, plants, mulch and other items. These things can greatly benefit pupils and their programs.

Donations can improve the schools and businesses can get a tax deduction, free publicity and a reputation for being a "Business That Cares." Call Severy at 301-831-7292 if you have ideas or information.
