April 29, 1999|By FROM STAFF REPORTS

Sarah Galloway of the Institute of Notre Dame softball team pitched a 4-0 perfect game yesterday at McDonogh.

The no-hitter was kept alive in the third inning by teammate Stephanie Hauck, who made a lunging catch at third base and threw to first for the putout. Galloway (10-6) later snared a low liner in the inning.

Galloway, who came into the game with two consecutive two-hitters, struck out four.
