Indians: Placed P Paul Shuey (strained left hamstring) on 15-day DL, retroactive to Monday. Purchased contract of P Paul Wagner from Triple-A Buffalo. Transferred P Tom Martin from 15-day to 60-day DL.

Mariners: Acquired IF Rafael Bournigal from Rangers for cash; assigned him to Triple-A Tacoma. Optioned P Brett Hinchliffe to Tacoma.

Phillies: Optioned C Bobby Estalella to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

White Sox: Activated OF Brian Simmons off 15-day DL; optioned him to Triple-A Charlotte.
