Monica Janowitz

C. Milton Wright, lacrosse

The sophomore goalie made 23 saves in two games to lead the No. 12-ranked Mustangs (5-1-1) to their first top 15 ranking this spring. Janowitz, in her first season as a starter, made 12 saves in an 8-6 upset of then-No. 8 Liberty and had 11 in a 16-5 victory over North Harford. She played only four games in the goal last year, ending the season as an attack reserve for the state-finalist Mustangs.

Josh Cohn

St. Paul's, tennis

The senior defeated reigning Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference champ Andy Kolker, of Gilman, and MIAA A Conference runner-up Chris Chiu, of McDonogh. Cohn came from behind to defeat both players. Cohn defeated Kolker, 6-2, 1-6, 6-4, on Tuesday and after losing the first set, 2-6, to Chiu, won the second, 6-4, before Chiu retired and Cohn won by default.
