Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southwestern District

Armed robbery: Two men stole $40 in merchandise from the J. C. Murphy discount store in the 2400 block of Frederick Road about 3 p.m. yesterday. One brandished a knife when they were confronted by a security guard. They then fled.

Burglary: A burglar entered the front door of a house in the 3100 block of Presstman St. between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. yesterday and stole $1,800 in jewelry.

Stabbing: A 20-year-old man was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center after he was stabbed during a dispute with his girlfriend about 12: 30 a.m. Sunday. The man's cheek was slashed and he was in fair condition.

Northwestern District

Burglary: Burglars pried open a rear door to Gregory's Patisserie, a restaurant in the 5800 block of Oakleaf Ave., and stole unknown items from a freezer. The break-in occurred between 4: 30 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. yesterday.

Burglary: Someone broke in through an upper window at the rear of a house in the 3400 block of Bancroft Road between 1: 30 p.m. and 3: 15 p.m. yesterday and stole $4,000 worth of coins and jewelry.

Southern District

Burglary: Someone broke a hole through the wall of Bolero Lounge in the 3600 block of S. Hanover St. between 1: 30 a.m. and 8 a.m. yesterday and stole $300 from a cash register.

Baltimore County

North Point Precinct

Armed robbery: A man armed with a silver handgun robbed a Pack-n-Save convenience store in the 2900 block of Sollers Point Road of an undisclosed sum of money. Police believe he robbed a High's store in the 2000 block of Merritt Blvd. about 6 p.m. Friday.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: A burglar forced his way through a kitchen window at a home in the first block of Stemmers Run Road between 6: 30 p.m. Saturday and 7: 30 a.m. Sunday and stole a box with $30 in coins from the master bedroom.

Garrison Precinct

Stolen car: A 1985 Toyota Corolla was stolen between Thursday and Sunday morning from Balmoral Towers & Townhouses, a housing complex in the 6800 block of Liberty Road.

Stolen car: A 1996 Mazda pickup truck was stolen between 10: 35 p.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. Sunday from the first block of Main St. in Reisterstown.

Parkville Precinct

Theft: About $1,200 worth of tools were stolen from a garage in the 13000 block of Baldwin Mill Road between April 18 and Sunday.
