New positions

McCormick names Brennan trade marketing director

McCormick & Co., the Sparks-based spice and flavorings maker, appointed James E. Brennan as director of trade marketing for its McCormick/Schilling division. He will be responsible for trade practices, planning and trade spending. Brennan joined the company in 1981 as a sales representative. A resident of Timonium, he is a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit College in West Virginia.

Teague is marketing chief for Marley Station mall

Marley Station named Melissa Teague director of marketing for the north Anne Arundel County shopping mall. She will be responsible for marketing, public relations and special events. Formerly a coordinator with the Baltimore Office of Promotion and Tourism, the Boston University graduate is active in the Baltimore Tourism Association and the Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association.

Health care

MedStar Health promotes Vanessa Aburn, Paul Drehoff

MedStar Health promoted Vanessa DiFlumeri Aburn to vice president, cardiovascular services and Paul Drehoff to assistant vice president, public affairs and communications. Both are assigned to the Columbia health care provider's Baltimore division.

Aburn will be responsible for integrating cardiovascular services throughout the system's five area hospitals. The Ellicott City resident is a graduate of Boston University and formerly was with Howard County General Hospital.

Drehoff, who lives in Linthicum, had been a systems director for Helix Health. The Towson University graduate will oversee public relations and communications for area MedStar hospitals.


Katz, Abosch names Kirk head of estate division

Katz, Abosch, Windesheim, Gershman & Freedman, regional accountants and consultants, named Lori L. Kirk to head its estate administration division. The University of Baltimore graduate and CPA formerly was a manager in the Towson firm's tax department.

Gray is project architect for Murphy & Dittenhafer

Murphy & Dittenhafer hired Jerome C. Gray as a project architect. Formerly with RTKL Associates, the University of Detroit-Mercy graduate is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Organization of Minority Architects.

KLNB names Joseph Nolan a leasing associate

KLNB Inc. named Joseph P. Nolan as a leasing associate for the regional firm. Formerly a vice president with Casey & Associates/ONCOR International, the Ellicott City resident and University of Dayton graduate is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
