Giants: Third baseman Ramon Martinez left in the sixth inning after fouling a ball off his right knee... Kirk Rueter matched the shortest start of his career. He also lasted just a third of an inning on May 15, 1994, while pitching for Montreal against St. Louis. San Francisco pitchers have allowed 27 homers this season, including 10 in the last six games.

Mets: Bobby Bonilla left in the second inning because of a sore right knee. He was diagnosed last month with a partial ligament tear, but has missed only one game... Rickey Henderson, who walked twice, has reached base in all 12 games with New York.
