Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Robbery try/arrest: Two men were in the 1000 block of Fallsway about 7: 40 p.m. Wednesday when one of them allegedly tried to rob the other of $20 and fled when the man resisted. A security officer at the nearby Central Booking and Intake Center witnessed the incident and arrested a man. Charged with attempted robbery was Derrick Day, 37, of the 400 block of N. Rose St.

Robbery/cutting: A woman, 44, was in the 400 block of E. 20th St. about 5 p.m. Wednesday when another woman cut her on the forehead and neck with an unknown sharp weapon and robbed her of $17. The victim refused medical,treatment and the other woman was being sought.

Cutting: Moments after he left a bar in the 300 block of E. Lafayette Ave. about 10: 30 p.m. Wednesday, a man, 44, was attacked as he walked on the street by a woman he had treated to a beer. She cut him on the arms, chest and neck with a box cutter for no apparent reason. The woman fled. The man was treated at Mercy Medical Center.

Southern District

Theft from vehicle/arrest: A man, 42, was arrested Wednesday and charged with breaking into a 1999 Chevrolet van parked in the 1700 block of Russell St. and stealing power tools valued at $600. Processed at the Central Booking and Intake Center was James Hannibal of the 1900 block of James St. The property was recovered.

Northern District

Burglary: Several pieces of jewelry and a videocassette recorder were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 6100 block of Northwood Drive. The thief entered through the front door.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Armed robbery: A gunman robbed the Royal Farms store in the first block of E. Timonium Road of an undisclosed sum about 9: 20 p.m. Wednesday.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Video games valued at $300 were stolen Monday from a house in the 600 block of Ewing Drive in Reisterstown. The thief entered through the front door. The burglary was reported Wednesday.

Burglary: Police were seeking two men who entered a house Wednesday in the 7200 block of N. Alter St. and stole two handguns and several pieces of jewelry.

Wilkens Precinct

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed the Shell service station in the 5300 of Edmondson Ave. of more than $200 about 6 p.m. Wednesday. The unarmed man acted as a lookout.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 4400 block of Forester Road through a rear window Wednesday night and stole a cuckoo clock valued at $50.

For the record

Suspect arrested: Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Baltimore City and Anne Arundel County police entered a dwelling yesterday in the 600 block of Disney Estates Circle in Severn and arrested Dante Lanell Parrish, 24. Parrish, of the Severn address, was charged in a warrant with first-degree murder in the shooting of Johnny Fields, 35, of the 1600 block of Normal Ave. in Baltimore. The incident occurred March 3 in the 2600 block of Maryland Ave. Parrish also was charged with the attempted murder of a second man during the shooting. Police knew of no motive for incident. He was being held without bail last night at the Central Booking and Intake Center in Baltimore.
